2013 - The initial work on the building that will house the Swanson Primary School in Waterloo a suburb of Freetown, Sierra Leone. We had to enlarge the small windows on the church building so as to allow more light and a better ventilation into the room for a better learnining enviornment.

2013 - Plastering and white washing the walls. The young people were very active in the renovation project of the church which we now use for classes

The walls are made of sun-dried mud bricks so they had to be plastered with a cover of cement to avoind erosion during the heavy rainy season

2013 - Making the school desk. We had to contract a local carpenter to build the school desk which the young people carried on their heads to the school building.

Carrying loads on the head is the cheepest and most comon means of trasporting materials in Sierra Leone

We even tried to pack the car with as many chairs as possible
